Bhagavad Geeta 16.9

एतां दृष्टिमवष्टभ्य नष्टात्मानोऽल्पबुद्धयः।प्रभवन्त्युग्रकर्माणः क्षयाय जगतोऽहिताः।।16.9।।
etāṁ dṛiṣhṭim avaṣhṭabhya naṣhṭātmāno ’lpa-buddhayaḥ prabhavanty ugra-karmāṇaḥ kṣhayāya jagato ’hitāḥ
Meaning
Leaders driven by fear and harmful intent, lacking wisdom, inevitably destroy what they build. Choose integrity and courage over self-preservation.
Translation
Holding onto this view, those of depraved character, poor intellect, and given to fearful and harmful actions, wax strong and bring ruin to the world.
