Bhagavad Geeta 2.15

Sanskrit

यं हि न व्यथयन्त्येते पुरुषं पुरुषर्षभ। समदुःखसुखं धीरं सोऽमृतत्वाय कल्पते।।2.15।।

yaṁ hi na vyathayantyete puruṣhaṁ puruṣharṣhabha sama-duḥkha-sukhaṁ dhīraṁ so ’mṛitatvāya kalpate

Meaning

True leadership emerges when you respond to success and failure with equal composure, freeing yourself from reactive emotions that cloud judgment.

Translation

O Arjuna, who is foremost among men, verily, the person whom these do not torment, the wise man to whom sorrow and happiness are the same—he is fit for immortality.
